2 months and still unable to access main story. I am not sure I want to keep playing for a game that I cannot actually play.
I'm stuck at this point and I really don't want to start ANOTHER class just to end up having the same problem ....
In my case I was lucky, unlike the people who have been stuck here for months.
After I went and ground FATES to go from level 43 to 44 in just over one hour... (/facepalm - I'm not a FATE grinder, but I was desperate to ind out if I would need to throw away my character and start over) I went back, and the ticket counter had a new third option that was not there before - which let me back onto the landing.
That third option was NOT there for me until I was 44, and for some people, it never shows no matter how many levels they get...
- Said people basically, just have one option: delete the character.
I'd call this a design flaw: in a gated area - if you have a quest that can be turned in, anything else you do inside that gated area should have the same level requirements. They should not have let me get in there to begin and turn in my with 'ends at level 43 quest' until I was 44 and able to take the next quest.
These occur before this bug. This bug happens when you have the final crystal, and are going to give it to Cid, and fly to Garuda. The bug is that you can give him the crystal, and then he says "Oh snap, you need to be level 44 to fly on my airline, come back later...'
So you remember that it was a quest to get into that gated area to begin with... and you worry and leave. You turn around and talk to the ticket person and she just says "we have flights to Ul'dah and Gridania, or you can get lost..."
- and you're stuck.
For some, at 44, she adds a third option. Maybe even for most. I got lucky and had that. But because the option to go back is gone once you leave - you appear stuck. And for some, even at 44, the ticket person never gets a third option, and they are truly stuck.
