Pretty sure that this 328MB patch is setting up some ground work for 1.18.... think Yoshi-P said so in his newsletter.

I dare say some NPC's might say a few different things now if that help hehe

I'm happy enough that this is fixed:

•A bug wherein pressing Ctrl + T to scroll through the /tell history would skip the most recent recipient.
I thought i was losing the plot when that was happening to me.... guess its not me (in this instance)

Alot of people have been mentioning they think the patch is laying ground work for the big patch and I don't think that's the case. Reason I say this is I have been backing up and saving all the patches since the game came out(to allow for much easier re install) and when I had to re install the game after fixing my windows recently the game only used 3 of the patches in the folder I had(which had like 8 different patches in it) and they were all recent patches and none of the bigger and older ones. I think these patches are compiling content to make patching easier for new players so they only need to download one or 2 big patches instead of 10+ large and small patches.

This is supported by the size of the updates. If you look at the last few updates they have been a few MB bigger each time which would suggest they all have the same content + that little bit extra that adds a few MB. And again this makes sense from a new player perspective as they have less to download.

I can't confirm if this is true or not but it certainly seems to be the case and there is plenty of evidence to support it.

If that's the case, it's actually quite kind towards new players. I remember when I tried WOW for the first time. That was the patching of a lifetime.
