Note: I was able to participate in an Odin fate prior to the SSD install with the optimization settings I talked about, but this SSD just made it SOOOO much easier.

so if you have a PS3 and no gaming computer, you can either shell out $500+ for a computer or $100 today and it will last you as long as you wanna keep your PS3.

You're actually probably better off with just a good sized hybrid, since their flash memory cache is big enough to fit just about the entire game on and they're about 5x cheaper.

The difference is noticeable on the PS3 in spots, but it is still only SATA 1.5 with a super small ram/bus so I can't really justify the cost to myself.

I'm planning on getting the 1TB one for my PS4. That baby will smoke.

Just wanted a full solid state so that when I do get rid of my ps3.. I can use the drive in something else in the future...

I basically thought of it this way... either way a HDD is gonna cost me around 75$ (space isn't an issue for me)... so if i don't eat fast food for two weeks I can just get a full solid state for ps3 and future use. LOL!
