How long did you take to beat Titan?

First DF group, 3rd try. Everyone in the group seem to have the patterns memorized and there was also someone using <se.1> to announce when plumes are coming.

Beat him today with some friends with relic & rdm people in mor dhona .

1. Paladin (dps) - 1st group, 2 tries disbanded with no one complaining. 2nd group, 1 shot.
2. Paladin (tank) - While helping a friend for his relic, 1 shot.
3. Monk - together with 2 other people (random) I did the whole chain from Chimera with in a straight marathon of the quest, 1 shot.

This was all done in JP DF. I don't queue EN for primals.

No one wants to invite WARS to tank this so I'll probably be stuck on it for a very long time as WAR.

I run Titan with some friends and FC mates on a regular basis. My first Titan was cleared in one round, without any wipes - I did it with my FC.

There's a Warrior who joins us quite often, and he runs a DPS setup - using stuff like Scale Mail and what not (equipment that gives more str than vit), so he essentially functioned as a DPS.

Welp...Two attempts so far today... Both ended with 30 min long Titan-plays-baseball-with-healers sessions until healers[white Mage, summoner] from both parties ragequit. (Yeah I Pugged both times)

I think it took about a week and a half? That's maybe 20 tries? Guy was a pain in the ass! But fun as hell.

I agree with your first point but as to your second... assuming you did it with your FC. I would certainly call that being carried. Having half your DL and AK gear for the rest is one thing, but 3 DL pieces?

The fight isn't about gear. This is the reason people have such a low opinion of pick-up groups; they base their success rate off of gear that is handed out for attendance (Talking about DL here in case that wasn't clear). The fact of the matter is you only need to be able to burn down the heart phase and then the rest of the fight is about knowledge. It's painfully simple to do if you have someone calling out Titan's rotation during the fight.

popped titan quest. couple hours later finished quest. maybe my 4th pug attempt? i had the cheat sheet next to me so i could stand a chance with my latency. at phase 5 though i think half the pt wiped and it was just a very very skilled light party that tanked the whole phase 5 for 5+ minutes
