Eorzea database is great but...

first i would like to thank SE for adding this useful tool... personally sometimes i like to search and know where i can get good gear cuz sometimes i get stuck with a lvl 20 waist all the way to lvl 40 cuz i maybe have bad luck and ofc i dont know where to get them... but i thought that was finally solved with the cool new database site.. its all good shows all the important info about the weapon or the piece of armor ...except one thing which i think is the most important.... source :s ok its a perfect item for me.. but it doesnt say where i can find it... is it a quest reward? is it a chest drop? is it levequest reward? is it created by a profession? if it drops from a dungeon boss who it is ? and so on.

if there is a source written somewhere and i missed it please let me know, and if it doesnt exist i hope SE finds my post and adds this.

I really would appreciate just a regular old strategy guide. I play on a pc. And while I could use a tablet or some such to look this shit up, a book sitting in front of me is so much more convenient. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I want a physical strategy guide.

Like a loot book option in game? thats a great idea too... but im thinking maybe they dont wanna add anything new to the game right now... and that might take awhile if they choose to do so.. so im saying adjusting the database on the website and adding the source to get the items would be good enough for now.

It would be nice in ways but isn't practical because things change too quickly. Here are a few examples below and the game is about 2 months old.

1. Wanderer's Palace (50 philosophy tomes 0 mythology tomes) and Andapor Keep (80 philosophy tomes 40 mythology tomes) changed to Wanderer's Palace (100 philosophy tomes 30 mythology tomes) and Andapor Keep (100 philosophy tomes 40 mythology tomes)

2. The Grand Company quest that allows you to purchase level 50 GC weapons used to require Andapor Keep completion but now requires Aurum Vale completion.

3. The Dark Devices fate used to be the fastest way to level up in the high 40s but it got nerfed (I think by reducing its respawn time) so much that it's no longer the fastest way to level up at that level.

I'm pretty sure SE reads all the suggestions. They reply to things from housing, to FATEs, to end game, to butt cosmetics, to individual technical problems. They don't usually respond and sometimes they respond weeks later. If you want to have a chance at a topic getting a response, you need something the community is interested as a whole and provide a good argument.

I would like to see the Eorzea database show how to get items as well. In the meantime or if that never happens, I use the fan-created FF14 database: http://xivdb.com/
