Stupid stuff people say in parties

Yesterday I was leveling WHM in FATE and got called "the worst healer ever" by someone after they died at Gorgimera. Just because I happen to be leveling WHM in your FATE party does not make me the healer. The only reason I join FATE parties is to make getting gold easier. I did not join the party to keep people alive, and I rarely look at HP bars in FATE. I am much more concerned with maximizing my participation points than keeping people alive--that's on each individual person.

When I join a FATE party as a WHM I join so I can...
1. get exp for each kill the party makes
2. get gold by doing what a WHM is best at... healing.
by healing pt members and casting protect, stonskin, esuna, etc.... you get just as much credit as the DD that is burning tgts or the tank that is tanking them. Plus you get exp from each mob kill, but to each his own I guess.

Yes as a WHM you should never be expected to heal as it is not your job although if a healer did decide to heal during a fate they would notice you can get gold that way. Kudos though on being able to play a WHM proper!

To get gold as WHM at most fates, I just spammed tab and dot stuff. Granted the mobs are dead before that most of the time, though since dps usually one-two shots them easily even with 40+ people there due to lack of scaling. Most fates are over so fast no one takes a lick of damage anyways. Now in group content like dungeons, then you should be healing for sure. But for fates? As they are currently designed it's usually better to simply dps unless it's one of those rare ones that actually requires some one to heal which is not often. Besides, majority of damage in this game is generally avoidable; don't stand in junk, watch threat, profit!

You can't get gold by healing. You get gold by getting on mobs' hate list. This is why people just spam medica. We do it to tag mobs. The fact that it heals you is purely incidental. If I heal someone and they aren't on the hate list for a mob, guess what I get out of it? Jack squat.

FATE groups are not actual groups. People invite ANYBODY who is shouting, regardless of their role. I've been in groups with 4 healers. I've been in groups with 0 healers. When people join FATE, they are NOT there to do their job, they are there to get XP, and NOTHING else.

And guess what? I do like healing. I like it a lot. But I don't do FATE to "do my job" and neither does ANYONE else. If you think otherwise, you are simply delusional. Instances are for doing your job.

I do all of that in FATE, but it's purely as a courtesy. The healing I do is for hate generation, not HP restoration. I do nothing BUT heal in FATE, even if nobody needs healing.

And all the tanks who run around in FATE spamming flash are bad. All the BLMs who run around spamming blizzard 2 are bad. Don't they know fire 2 does more damage? Transpose exists for a reason!

You idiots need to get it through your heads that FATE parties are not ACTUAL parties. People group up to leech XP off each other. Most people join and leave parties without so much as saying a word. Why? Because it's FATE. People make parties with 4 tanks, 3 healers, and 1 DD. Why? Because it's FATE. Tanks don't tank. DPS don't maximize DPS. And yes, healers don't heal. Why? Because it's FATE. If you want to get mad at someone, get mad at SE for creating the situation. Don't get mad at me for having to deal with it.

It's a mindless zergfest. You want to treat me like I'm a bad person for adjusting my playstyle to match that, like EVERY other person doing FATE in a zerg of 300 people, when each one was balanced for 4-8 people? Go to hell.

I heal people through Titan HM. I heal undergeared people through Garuda HM when they can't kill the adds in time to prevent the mini-ultimate. Mini-ultimate goes off EVERY time adds spawn, yet I and the other healer manage to keep everyone alive the whole time. But because I don't use Esuna in time on some bitch in FATE when she runs up to me demanding it in all caps (she was at 5% HP, it went off, but she died anyway because apparently the spell went off after she died), I am, LITERALLY, the worst healer ever. Makes sense.

Sure, fire 2 does more damage but blizz 2 is usually about the only way to tag stuff unless you are there alone or with smaller numbers. Any rate, I went to 1-50 on BLM spamming blizz 2 and scathe not because I wanted to but because I had to in order to get credit. But rest assured, I only play WHM so I won't be stinking up the DF with my BLM any time soon.

Doing a dungeon as acn, noticed the tank and mnk's hp were ~10%, whm wasn't curing, so I toss a few out to keep them alive and get yelled at for "not attacking" and to "stop curing" lol I wouldn't have had to cure if the whm cured a little more

Why don't you level WHM in FATEs and only heal then if it's so easy. The difference, leveling/getting exp wise, is like night and day. When I DD as a WHM, I get gold medals everytime...not so much when I'm healing. I'm lucky to get a silver
