$25 for a toon transfer?

Paid character transfer is there for -
1) they're a business, not a charity service
2) so extreme jerks can't hop around servers with no consequences
3) to avoid massive exodus when guilds/FC decides it's time to move on
4) they're a business.

From my understanding it's to stop RMTs from server hopping to sell gil. If that's the main reason, I support the high cost.

when you are selling multiple thousands worth of product with a high profit margin 25$ isnt any kind of roadblock

For those asking why certain people didn't transfer during the free period its pretty simple for me atleast. WE COULD'NT! I was stuck on Excalibur and kept from my friends in Diablos, I would never ask them to move to a legacy server that is overflowed with people because not even I want to stay on these servers. So really its fucked up that us people that were forced to stay on legacy servers are now being forced to PAY to move off these crowded places when other people were allowed to move around for FREE .___.

If SE wants to charge 25 bucks for a transfer, then fine. It's their service. But this justification of "it's to keep people from using it frivolously" I'm seeing in this thread is silly. If that were really their concern, they could just as easily charge 5 bucks and put a lengthy cooldown on its use to achieve the same effect. It's 25 bucks because that's how much people will pay and they want to make bank. And that's okay.

It's going to take one person that takes in $25/hr to make the transfer in 1 hour. They need to make sure all your data is transfered correctly and all that unlike where they just have whole bunch of ppl transfering.

Seems bit high, but is this per character or all characters on that account? If it's all characters on account kind of makes sense imo.

You can transfer multiple characters from the SAME server to a single other server in one transfer. Transferring from one server to many or from many to one requires multiple transfers.
