Still healing bonus is lesser than paladin's mitigation and warior's defensive CD's are non-existent compared to paladin.I find warrior a lot more fun to play, especially with a pocket healer.
However, Defiance does not reduce damage taken. It gives a bonus to HP and decreases damage dealt by the warrior. The trade-off is the ability to gain stacks of Wrath, which increase healing received and crit, and well as the ability to spend those stacks on other abilities.
Maybe it's just my own personal experience, but in all the pre-Coil dungeons and story primals (with exception to AK and WP - haven't actually gone in there as a WAR), both classes were equally effective and easy.
My friend healer says otherwise. Donnow maybe he god bad warriors. Still paladin is safer bet for now. He is fine as it is and warrior deserve buff.
Before Titan HM, there's virtually no difference between Paladin and Warrior. In some instances, Warrior proves to be easier (depending on what skills you have access to). I'd say go with what's most fun for you since you play "casually" and probably won't bother with Coil where right now the difference is obvious.
I would say if you are willing to bet in favor of the upcoming warrior changes, we currently have zero details, I would go with them. I have my BC PLD and am in the process of leveling a warrior and in comparison so far the warrior is much more entertaining.
