Well, bots were really only a factor at Dragon's Aery, Behemoth's Dominion and for Aspid. They weren't a factor in Tiamat claims or Cerb claims and 99% of the other NMs in the game. The problem wasn't as big a deal as the rumor mill has made them out to be. It just so happened that half of the most wanted HNM's had spawn conditions that catered to botting programs. That can be addressed without eliminating open world content.

Of course, you don't want to hear any of this.

Not everyone likes to be like Blue Grtr and be first at everything. Most of us. Like me. Like to take things slow. So yes.. I will continue to have fun in a game that you don't see as fun anymore. Perhaps you should un-sub and find something better to do with your time until they put in a new patch since you don't seem to be having fun.

In the end the voices of the players will clue in the dev's on what we want; and currently your voice is very small.

I sure am glad FATE are the only open world content we have, yes sir.
Behemoth and Odin work so well 90% of the people I know don't even want to bother with them when they're up.
Bring in HNMs, make them work like Sandworm/Ixion where it wasn't possible to bot or monopolize them.

Hey, "that's great". Thank you for "your" expertise on "the" issue of open world Notorious Monsters. It "was" very informative.

Unfortunately (at "least" one would hope...), Square Enix should be more interested "in" what kind of content endgame players "want", since "they'll" be "the" ones actually playing it. I don't really think you "fall" into this category, but thank you for your "opinion" nonetheless.

Again I will state my point to keep the topic on track since the OP is bringing out his "Police". HNM's and NM's will cause more drama than this game already can handle. The original 1.0 had NM's and HNM's.. And why do you think they took them out?

What? Why does the fact I'm in his FC have anything to do with my stance against you? If I'd have come across this thread I'd have posted in it regardless. This game desperately need some form of open world content (and more content in general) worth doing, I don't care what it is, I just want some. HNM is the easiest thing to think of since it's been done before, we know what causes certain behaviours, we know the mistakes made in XI, we know how to avoid them.

HNM's and NM's will cause more drama than this game already can handle. The original 1.0 had NM's and HNM's.. And why do you think they took them out?

NM and HNM in 1.0 were almost never done, I never, ever had any troubles with competition in 1.0. The reason they weren't camped was because their drops were largely useless because EXP was so abundant. Their been taken out was mainly because FATE were introduced as a method of giving everyone a chance, but they threw out all of the drops (which could now be useful with a slower EXP gain) too.
Once more, the "drama" HNM/NM cause can be avoided by making their appearances less predictable, they don't have to spawn in an area as small as Dragon's Aery, a location perfect for botting (or hell, even macro spamming, not everyone that did HNM cheated).
