Please copy the GW2 materials inventory

In guild wars 2 the crafting system was sooo much better than everything else I've seen so far for just 1 simple thing and that's because of the separate inventory for your mats. It was better than a bank, a retainer, your bags... It just holds anything you have that can be crafted accessible everywhere in the world and all sorted for you. This is probably the only thing I'm missing from the game and I'm sure, it would bring FFXIV crafting system to another level.

I'm surprised they don't already have this system, since they have the armory and all. I guess they kind of expected the current inventory to already BE a materials inventory, but you don't have nearly enough space once you have multiple crafts and gatherers leveled.

Or at least if they can not give us an extra bag for all the crafting materials at least let us use what is in our retainers when ever we want and not having to find a damn bell to summon them just to get mats from one retainer to put in the bags we have.

yup, i agree. GW2 did this best. why in the year 2013 are we still living in the dark ages with "inventories"? If I have ownership of an item, it should be accessible to me 24/7 no matter where it is stored.

i mean seriously, at the very list if an item is in my retainers possession it should still show up as available for crafting.

As a player, I wish we didn't have inventory limitations, or much larger ones at least, but I must argue they serve an economic purpose. They force people to buy and to sell, making the markets more liquid. Given high liquidity - plus all the other yada, yada -, and assuming structural variables - such as drop rates - are fixed in time, the market, in effect, works as your inventory by swapping your item into gil and the gil into the item again at a later date. Although taxes murky this up a bit. There is one other issue that troubles me a bit, but it shouldn't matter with time.

It is these small imperfections that create a market.

I don't get your inventory problem......Sure I run out of space if I have multiple triple turn-in leves items in my inventory but guess what I did ... MANAGE IT. Is inventory management such a foreign concept to gamers nowadays? I actually like the limited slots and the number of slots seems right to me. *shrug*

It is a foreign concept to the current generation of gamers. As I have told countless players over the years,"Might as well let the game play itself for you." How fun is that?
