Botters helping me farm

So if I'm farming Golden Fleece, would it be "illegal" for me to move a little closer to the bot so that it helps me kill faster? Or maybe tag two mobs and let him pick one off and kill it for me??

Meh it's fine. You're not responsible for the other players actions. Think about the lack of communication going on with most players. It's fairly reasonable for people to throw in an excuse that they thought the other "player" was just willing to help while they farm for things. You have no control over what the other account/character is doing, it's pretty unjust to fault another for its actions. It's sort of like driving through a street that is well-known to have traffic violators, and results in getting into an accident (their fault). It's not at all your fault (despite knowing the risks/situation), and your insurance can't hold you responsible for the irresponsibility of others.

I've reported two bots so far, one just last night. The response I got was "Blah blah we do not give individual responses blah blah thank you for taking the time to report gil sellers blah blah"....

I wish that they would just say..."Hey heads up, thanks for the report and this guy has been banned due to botting...appreciate the good looking out for the good of the community and game...Square-Enix Staff"

I kind of wonder if WE will get in trouble if we utilize that trade window thing to kill the botters....cause I'd love to do that now that I know about it.

It might be trouble for you to do that, but I think it's going to be dependent on the GM or whoever. If the character is just a bot (at the time), it's essentially not a PK/MPK action. It's not much different than doing something that would cause an NPC to be killed by your actions. I'm fairly certain that you won't be banned for something like that.
