Not one mention of putting the pet on obey and popping contagion after you have all your DOTs buffed by RS to increase their duration. And really? People are leaving thunder off their rotation? :|

There have been threads about this already.All wonderful points made so far, but I'm trying to get a solid, end-all-be-all rotation nailed out, kind of like the ones shown for other classes in some of those "hot topic" posts on the main page. One for single-target, stationary situations, one for when you're on the move, one for AOE etc. Something I can quote and edit into the first post.
Here is single target:
[RS | Obey] -> Bio II -> Miasma -> [Bio | Fester] -> Thunder -> [Miasma II | Contagion | Swiftcast] -> Shadowflare -> [Ruin II | Fester] -> [Ruin II | Rouse] -> [Ruin II | Spur] -> [Ruin II | Enkindle].
For AoE
[RS (optional) | Obey] -> Bio II -> Miasma -> [Bio | Contagion | Swiftcast] -> [Shadowflare | Bane] -> Miasma II -> Thunder tabbing (if you have mana, and adds will last that long, <4 adds). >4 adds, Tri Disaster.
You can also rouse/spur/enkindle if necessary.
Delay bane till Miasma II oGCD if it turns out your garuda sucks butt and decides to ignore bane for like 5 seconds.
For on the move, just predict and replace ruin with ruin II.
Or just cast nothing at all, its not a massive dps loss to miss a ruin.

Pandabearcat is right, I would just edit this rotation to use Shadow Flare *first*, because it does not benefit from raging strikes (shadowflare --> RS|Obey -> etc). In my own rotation I also use quelling strikes right before Raging Strikes, so as to try not to pull the mobs off my shadow flare.There have been threads about this already.

I don't think tri-disaster is worth casting outside of some sort of speed-run (hold mobs outside boss room til door closes) / sleep mechanic, because the damage is pitiful and I find it better to simply stand in the middle of my own shadow flare on top of the tank (since you have to get close for Miasma II anyway). I try to always use Rouse as I spam the contagion button, and otherwise whenever it's off GCD. Spur I usually try to save for boss fights since it's a longer CD but lately I've been getting used to using it in advance to make runs faster.

Sflare first works as well, as long as you get all of your dots up first, and contagion all 4 (5 with miasma II) dots, and get 2 festers into your RS, it matters not what else you do.
Tri disaster does more damage that thunder tabbing if you are dealing with 4 or more targets. Damage is pitiful but hey, so is miasma II damage. You can do both.

Don't use Raging Strikes right away. Instead:
Bio II > Miasma > Bio > Swiftcast > Shadow Flare > Raging Strikes > Fester > Thunder > Bio II > Miasma > Bio > Contagion > Ruin II > Fester.
Depending on your latency, smush Spur/Rouse in there wherever you can (right at the start is fine, too). This maximizes Fester with RS.

No, it doesn't, it just makes it so that you lose RS for your first set of dots, recast dots early having a huge mana impact, delay contagion, and waste GCD's during RS that could be used for ruin.Don't use Raging Strikes right away. Instead:

RS at the beginning still allows 2 festers, which is the maximum amount of festers you can fit into RS.
It is physically impossible to fester more than twice for RS.

So many varying opinions on this ; ;
I have within me the blood of legends!

I only state facts =o
Generally speaking you have leeway in what order you do your spells, but you will want to put 4 DoTs and sflare up before anything else, you want RS for your DoTs, and you want to fester twice during RS, and you want to contagion after 4 (5 DoTs if you want to miasma II). Oh and, don't use off GCD abilities during GCDs.
I only stated a rotation that does all of these things.
You can think up whatever you want and as long as it satisfies the criteria above, any other dps difference is negligible.

Can someone explain why you pop Aethernet at the beginning of the CD? I always have it up before a pull, but is there any benefit to popping it when the boss is pulled?

You mean aetherflow?
The only benefit I can think of is mana, maybe, but no, never aetherflow if you still have stacks to spend.
Your DPS is more important than your mana, but you should never be in a situation (aside from right as you begin the fight) where you have aetherflow stacks and aetherflow is off cooldown.
