What's up with Leviathan's economy?

Seriously. I think Leviathan must have the worst economy among all the servers. From the server I came from, 1-star gear sold for 30-40k and 2-star sold for more than a million. On Leviathan, 1-star gear sells for 5-15k and 2-stars sell for 300k. This is stupid because the materials still cost the same amount roughly, so crafters are breaking even or even losing money when they sell so cheaply.

I'm still making money but only at a fraction of what I did before, and most of it comes from selling gathered mats now instead of crafted items, which just aren't worth making to sell given the cost and time of gathering mats.

I just wonder why Leviathan, which isn't even one of the highest populated servers, has this problem while others don't...

Did you miss the point where Ariyn said we have a ton of crafters? Our crafting market is flooded and people undercut. Obviously other servers don't have as many crafters or they don't undercut each other.

There is rampant crafter botting on this server. It's terribly obvious. We had crafters with multiple 50s within weeks of launch. I put stuff out to sell and the same day bots have put massive amounts of stacks out for sale, undercutting me.

Even the "high end" guilds have people with craft bots sitting around. I see them all the time. It's a shame. At this point I just assume most crafters are bots, even though there are real people actually leveling and playing crafters. It's too bad.

How do you know that for sure? There were tons of crafters on the server I came from.

I think ApolloGenX has it right. There's probably a ton of people cheating their way to the top.

Actually crafting isn't all that hard I could probably level 2 professions a week if I felt like it...as is I don't...but I know a ton of people on Leviathan that are legit and just max craft asap to "corner the market" as it were...also...maybe people on this server just aren't as greedy as other servers...tbh Leviathan seems to be one of the highest community oriented servers around with all the FCs trying events and getting people to just hang out ....maybe we just have nicer people (disclaimer this is actually probably true if you look at the general discussions area most stupid threads are generated and replied to by people other than Leviathan) so be thankful that our prices are more reasonable

Ya the crafting econ on this server has basically made me feel that crafting is a waste of time and I am not even doing it. Two peices of Vanya I have were both bought sub 300k gil, somthing I can make in an evening of WPsr runs and converting the Philo into cash by selling the mats to these same crafters. With so many crafters cutting each other it just doesn't even feel worth doing.
