I think the only issue they'd have with giving all races access to each others hairstyles, is actually Miqotes. Dunno if you noticed, but all their hairstyles cover where the ears would be if Miqo's had human ears.
They'd need to modify every other hairstyle to do the same. which is partially why Miqo's have no real ponytail or properly long hair options.

So i'm not the only one who noticed this. I'd assumed that they did this to skirt around how uncanny a miqo might look if they hadn't.

I just want to get rid of the facepaint. Why do all face options have facepaint on them anyways?

If you are talking about the > < shaped marks under your eyes, that's not facepaint. It's a birthmark all Miqo'te males are born with.

Exactly, it's a design taken from real world big cats.
For example, the cheetah has those marks below its eyes.

Head equipment shouldn't remove your hair like if you are bald. If it's long enough to see, then it only makes sense.
