Well just from trading in a small % of the armour I had with cracked material from 1.0 I had roughly 800tomes which bought me the gloves and had a bit left over. I haven't touched the story past level 15 or so, so I`d Imagine its not impossible for others to get the whole set and not know what they`re doing. it doesn't mean they bought an account

When some people level alts, they farm out their DL on their Main first, then level them to 50. By the time they get them to 50 they have full DL on them. So basically they hit 50, already have DL and 900 philo for relic and go straight through the relic quest. Then when they run crap they run with whatever they are the least bored with. Thus it's possible he is new to tanking and did not buy his account because you can level to 50 on a tank just by using provoke and flash twice and getting gold on every fate.
Also, people not knowing CM doesn't mean they bought accounts either. People that were leveling to 50 before they nerfed Speed Runs got full DL without doing any CM except for once for story mode and people in story mode for the first time might not have learned much (carried etc). I had full DL and some AF2 on my tank and never ran CM except for story mode. Then when I needed a lot of philo I learned CM speed runs, I had people like you telling me I bought my account... When I did not. I've been on this guy since p2 beta, 1.0, and FFXI.
For my DL we ran AK, non Stop. We got the runs down to 25 mins or less, after the speed run patch, which was (before the last hotfix) about the same time it took to complete CM and we got myth. After the hotfix, WP is now the fastest way to get 100 philo. We can run WP in 15 minutes.
I actually have no idea how to use the cannons in CM. When I ran it for the story I tried to use them but couldn't make them work, and I haven't been back since.

ppl still farm tome in CM !?

Not me, WP is sooooo much faster. Get a PLD in Relic/Af1.5/alagan and some relic + 1 dps and a healer and just pull everything to the first door, kill boss. Pull everything to first 2 tonberries kill. Pull everything to skeletons in room kill. Pull everything to 3rd switch, go inside switch, kill trash. Pull 2nd boss. Pull everything to tonberries again, kill, kill last boss. 15 minutes with a good group which is 400 philo an hour. With peacock ores at 45k, that's 112k an hour.

It is feasible to say he could have a high level of another job and farmed tomes on that class and bought his DL before getting his tank to level 50 and fate ground to 50. Still I'd assume he at least noticed other tanks and how they position mobs. A little reading of the tooltips gives a good idea as to what you should be using..

What....... o_O If you have made it to lvl 50 you should not be "new to a class", you have had 49 levels to become acquainted with your class. If you have spent all that time spamming fates then at least research your class before jumping into a high lvl dungeon. I dont mind teaching someone how a dungeon works but im not about to start telling you to play your class at that stage of the game.
We had a member from our FC with enough melded gear to get a full DL set. So it is conceivable (although unlikely) that someone could be full DL and Relic w/o having touched 2.0 endgame. They could have had all of it from 1.0 and took their time getting through the story. However, I find this to be quite unlikely.Well just from trading in a small % of the armour I had with cracked material from 1.0 I had roughly 800tomes which bought me the gloves and had a bit left over. I haven't touched the story past level 15 or so, so I`d Imagine its not impossible for others to get the whole set and not know what they`re doing. it doesn't mean they bought an account
