Rather than being a jerk you should read the post in the thread you quoted to answer your own questions. You mean the thread full of people crying that they can only do Coil once a week?
You realize that you can do Coil on any class you want, and get gear from that one run for any class you want, provided your group is ok with or the people in the group have that drop? THANKS to the Armory System, you are free to run Coil on any job you like, and keep gearing the one you want to.
Didnt get your drop? oh well, next week. It's still purely a time thing.
Rather than cry about the Armory System, why don't you suggest something useful?
Like, oh, i dunno, maybe asking for Coil lockouts to apply to your ability to roll for Drops?
As in, clear Coil on Bard for one group, roll for loot as normal.
Then the next day, you get asked to help out as a WHM, so you go in as WHM, but you can't roll for loot now, until the Lockout resets.
She wasn't being a jerk - There's zero problems gearing alt characters or alt jobs, people just don't want to take the time to do so, they want it "as fast as the first time" which simply will never be the case nor ever be supported by a company if they don't want their MMO to die fast. Even WoW will take you a bit to get your alts up.

Then they should create more content and fun content, and not have the grind they do now.She wasn't being a jerk - There's zero problems gearing alt characters or alt jobs, people just don't want to take the time to do so, they want it "as fast as the first time" which simply will never be the case nor ever be supported by a company if they don't want their MMO to die fast. You know, so they can keep their customers based on fun, and not some monotonous grind because of lockouts.
I did educate myself and I've played MMOs for a very long time - There's no problems with gearing alts, zero. None. The Armory system has its own problems and gearing isn't one of them. Fyi:
People wanted this system because WoW did it - So don't blame SE for listening to the players - SE clearly isn't updating this game fast enough so you really shouldn't be concerned with a patch 2 years from now. I get what you're saying, but you're mostly complaining about time investment while stating it's impossible to gear alts when it clearly is not. That means by the time you gear up 1-2 jobs, another content patch releases that makes all current gear not the best and introduces a new tier of gear better than current that's also time gated
You would think so, but all MMOs have its grind or type of lockouts, even the one touted as "the best MMO" - You seemingly get hate if you state this game needs more content or more fun things to do lol.

You don't know what you're talking about. Re-read Shiyo's argument and if you don't get it then do something bad to yourself.I did educate myself and I've played MMOs for a very long time - There's no problems with gearing alts, zero. None. It's possible to gear alts if you make multiple character, it isn't possible if you want to gear multiple jobs on one character.
Maybe it's because I was confused by the people (including myself) in my FC that is having no issues gearing multiple jobs on one character - SE is updating this game at a slow pace and even alternating the update cycle (i.e CT > BC > CT > BC etc) Neither will be obsoleted in a fast manner, but the fact Relics exist negates the purpose of getting a primal weapon since they're part of the quest line to get the best weapon which negates (for the most part) their dropped weapon.
Heck the way the game works no one will bat at eye at you if you're in full DL and a few Allagan pieces compared to not even attempting to gear yourself. The only argument I'm seeing is wanting to get around a time investment. "Lockouts" doesn't make it impossible or the people floating around in Allagan gear has done the impossible. Let's face it the only legitimate argument is storage concern, but the fact we have only 1 overall cap? It means it will take TIME and nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe some of us don't want gear our jobs in trash equip like your FC members. If we were able to access the content then a player could gear BiS on multiple jobs. The way it is setup now is similar to the fatigue system from 1.0.Maybe it's because I was confused by the people (including myself) in my FC that is having no issues gearing multiple jobs on one character - SE is updating this game at a slow pace and even alternating the update cycle (i.e CT > BC > CT > BC etc) Neither will be obsoleted in a fast manner, but the fact Relics exist negates the purpose of getting a primal weapon since they're part of the quest line to get the best weapon which negates (for the most part) their dropped weapon.
