Wanderer's Palace Discrimation

Any Monks here also facing discrimination for this? This may apply to SMN / DRG and for AK too. Its always "LF BARD/BLM DPS" in shout, fc, or LS. It takes me hours to find a party but even that, I'm constantly getting kicked in WP after 1 run. My average runs are 25 minutes and even my fc's officers kicked me bc the runs are supposed to take 10 minutes. I'm using the 50 and 130 potency aoes but seems like it's not enough apparently.

10 minutes in Wanders palace since the update? I would love to know the secret to that lol. Aoe does help, especially for the second boss which my group kills before he can even spawn second adds. But clearing everything with drg and bard we have it down to 22 and a half minutes. holy is good enough for aoe, i would take a monk if they knew their rotation well, but the aoe of other dps does help. I dont see that place done in ten minutes though since you need to clear tonberries now.

I was curious so, there you have it. i dont see it going much faster than that. And a monks aoe will never compete, 16 minutes is great though. 10 minutes is a bit of an exaggeration. But i doubt there are very many groups speed running it like they are even.

well we did it in 11 minutes, we probably could do it faster.. so I feel that ten minutes is feasible

I don't think of it as discrimination. We can't all be aoe masters. PB--->Rockbreaker spam is pretty amazing but it's on a 5 minute cd.
Either way, this is just a zerging of the dungeon. I've never been kicked from WP and I've been farming it ever since the patch. If some people want to chain pull and blow up the place, I don't see the problem with us sitting this one out.

Well I am sorry, but BRDs/BLMs are just better than any other DPS for that place.

My best record was 14m for that place and was with a BRD/BLM and that was only with a few tries, so you could probably improve on that vastly with gear and more tactics. There is no way you can pull that off with a MNK as they have the worst AoE DPS in the game.

If I am being honest, I would never take a MNK into WP over any other DPS.

I hate what this game does to people, including myself. In other games I am usually quite nice about taking lower geared/bad classes to dungeons, but due to the heavy farm nature of the game, as a wise woman once said: ain't nobody got time for that.

We do it all the time, but it requires quite a bit of gear. Our best time is ~10:40 and our run isn't nearly optimized yet.

WP can be done with 2 pulls before the first boss, 2 pulls before the second boss, and 1 pull before the last boss killed via mage LB.

10 minute runs aren't exactly a secret anymore.
