Q: As there are differences in economies from World to World, will the housing costs differ by World?
A: It will be the same for all Worlds. The land for housing will be an auction system, and will start from a high price and over time will become cheaper.

I have no problem with the auction system because it is a reverse auction system. If the land sits on the auction house for days, the price will gradually begin to fall. So it won't be going over the price, it will be going under. Now, you may not see super cheap land for housing at first, but over time once people buy their land you could see it more often.

People who can't afford the land but want it "now" and can't wait will be all over the place trying to buy currency.

As I mentioned in other threads. It won't sit on them for days. There's only so much land that has plots. There's talk of a small house being around 865,000 gil. With players being able to throw around 500k easy those that don't have that kind of cash won't see a house. These houses will be bought as soon as they hit the market. Lol

Let the rich fc's compensate with their Hummer and brand new housing.

Me, I'll be content to wait until they've all spent their money and buy my plot of land on the cheap a couple of weeks later.
There won't be any left a couple of weeks later.

What you will see though are people running in and buying up multiple properties (prime spots) then holding them for ransom. Which sucks but...
