Have you ever done the instance with people who are all new to it? It can trip a lot of people up if they don't have anyone else in the group to learn from. Also... I'm sorry, but CM is BORING AS ALL HELL. I was bored out of my mind from the first time I did it.
This, I que up for CM and Praetorium all the time. Sure I only do them for tomes but I go so those doing it for story can watch their CSs. I will sit back until every one of them are out of their cutscene and we can progress as a TEAM. spending an extra minute or 2 is np for me because i am in no rush to have everything done asap so i can sit around crying about how bored i am because i rushed through everything as fast as possible for no reason.

all of the above is just you assuming and trying to make your opinion a fact.
This. Let people whine if they want. If you want a speedrun, make your own group specifically for it. This is a GAME, people. Nobody has any right to pressure someone to play in a way they don't want to. This is one of the reasons I rolled a healer... people will be less inclined into idiocy when they're faced with the prospect of finding another healer.
If everyone who wanted a speedrun didn't use DF then it would take AGES for the people trying to do it for the story to get a party.
Not to mention that you'd have a full party that would have to actually learn the instances, instead of getting carried by the speed runners, as usually happens.I'm just going to go out on a limb here and assume you don't like figuring things out for yourself and would rather someone else tell you how to play.
Me? I love getting my face pounded by a mob and crashing to the ground a few times while trying to figure out a fight. I have a lot of fun figuring out the strat.
The downside to me enjoying this though is that I'm not one to rush so unless I go in with a premade I am likely going to get someone spoiling the fight for me on my first go. Knowing this I always ask if someone wants the strat if I'm re-running something and they're new.
Back on topic... Watch the cutscenes as you do the event, at least for the story your first time. Watching them out of context kills the immersion and kills the pacing that the development team designed when they made the content. Enjoy them!
I personally said I was new to Praetorium and that I wanted to watch the cutscenes, and that if the majority of the group had a problem with that I'd leave the duty. First group had a problem so I left. They can get another tank. Second group had one complainer so I stayed and watched the cutscenes and really enjoyed it, unlike CM where I felt rushed and like I was cheating the whole way through.
Not really, no. Me and plenty of other nice people load up on DF Prae all the time, just to help out people doing it their first time.If everyone who wanted a speedrun didn't use DF then it would take AGES for the people trying to do it for the story to get a party.

Of course, that's disregarding the fact that if you're still speedrunning Praetorium after the last update to WP, you're in no position to judge anyone on how good or bad they are.
Also the best thing to do if it's your first time is have two healer friends go with you and wait in CS while you watch yours. I do that all the time when me and my friend come across a first-timer 8)

Shoulda just watched it. Not like they can kick you.Well apparently not.
I love the last cut scenes in the final story dungeon. People scream at me to skip them even though I don't mind watching them. So I go to the inn... and its glitched. I go to the duty part and its completely unwatchable. It doesn't click.
So the only way to see the cutscenes is through the dungeon where I'm screamed half to death to skip or get left behind.
I want to be able to watch them! >:[
For the record, I hate skipping cut scenes. I love watching them as intended but I'm always screamed to skip or how wrong I am to NOT skip them because "your grinding it." It gets me so mad!
The more they tell me to skip a cutscene, the more I enjoy watching it and letting them wait.
So let them leave you behind... youre not supposed to give any attention when children throw temper tantrums.Well apparently not.
