Do the folloing, make a new character, a lala, and try out what fits you most.
Btw your new character too gets all boni your old Character had, so you can even use a Fantasia on this new lala to make another lala.

Before I'd change my old Character, I'd always try it out as a new one first. For the touch and feel how a Lala plays this is enough. (Speaking of Which I will make a Lala now just to squee at its animations in Limsa)

I second this - make a new Lalafell character and give it at least an hour of questing and emote'ing to see if you really like it - hopefully you will

Personally I went from Miqo'te F to Lalafell F and haven't regretted it in the slightest, even though I had the same Miqo'te look since v1.0 beta.

Drawback of lalafel is that the camera angle can get to be a bit of a pain at times.
Advantages of lalafel are that they are just plain awesome. Lalafel seems to give you license to get away with more too. You can be sillier or cheeky and nobody minds. People are just plain nicer to lalafels.

Step 2 - Get ghost outfit
Step 3 - Walk up to another player
Step 4 - Type /happy motion (don't forget the motion part)
Step 5 - You'll never change from Lala after dressing as a ghost and /happy motion.

Lalafells are ok. Well, at least for me they = profits for me.

Miqo'te are great too. Although they are harder to place in a sack. They make great fashion statement for the wealthy in Eorzea.
