it's not corrupted files, its bad code that they didn't notice. and honestly I don't have any hope they will hunt for and fix said code either.
corrupted implies that the issue was not there when they released it. it was and they didnt notice it
Personally, I'm more inclined to believe the corrupted files bit as not everyone experiences this issue.
If it were bad code, everyone would have the issue and you can bet it would have been taken care of by now. =\
