Please get Naoshi Mizuta to re-do this disastrous soundtrack

Did we not go over this that he did not have much time to make the songs for the game? like everything else it was halfass due to limit time maybe the CEO told them to hurry maybe the stockholder want this game to be release 2010. Maybe they was lazy but whatever the reason the music and everything else was hurry up.

idk, Masashi Hamauzu is an excellent composer also like Nobuo, and though FFXIII was a let down, its soundtrack was still top notch.

I strongly agree. I strongly dislike Uematsu's incredibly over the top fantasy music. I much rather prefer Naoshi Mizuta's songs in FFXI.

I liked "Answers" myself, and personally, while Mizuta did do a good job with XI's soundtrack, the definitive tracks in that game have always been to me "Ronfaure", "Memoro de la Stono", and "Distant Worlds", all composed by Nobuo Uematsu. In all honesty, I'm amazed that people (myself included) actually gave this thread the benefit of a reply.

Overall, I think the music is so-so.
It's also interesting how some of these comments seem to suggest that just because a certain composer is responsible for the song(s), that automatically makes the music good.

Nobuo/Kumi only worked on the original XI OST (which I will admit does have some of the stronger tracks), but RoZ+ is all Mizuta. And we know what RoZ means:

Hmmmm, actually I respect Mizuta a lot too, having his work in the game would be awesome too, as long as Nobuo leads.

Yes, he composed some pretty decent music in past games, but do you really think this is appropriate battle music?

*** that. He may be good but he dropped the ball with this game. Mizuta blows him out of the water. So does Shoji Meguro.

Not going to flame you, but that sounds like a lot of Uematsu battle themes. Predominantly recurring themes from VIII, IX and X. Lots of his music does this in the FF series. It's part of what has made FF feel like FF to me in general. XIV is the first FF since X that's really felt like "FF" to me mostly in part to the music. Though XI had its moments.

I think you picked a bad example.
