Can't you all stop complaining about anything and everything, whenever something new in the game is previewed this forum almost universally pans it before they even try it. There is even a claim of people not going to try the game based on a short video of PVP. Seriously people, don't you have anything better to do. What a toxic little forum you have here.

If anything promo video should look better than the actual recorded gameplay, that leaves one guessing, how bad the actual gameplay will be like...

I'll pass judgment when i try it but either way ill still pvp cuz i love it. For me its a nice break from fight npc.In 11 pvp sucked to but once u got your friends involved it became fun.. Nothing make u laugh more than a range that about to die shadow bind u cuz he going to die and u use your Boost & chi blast to kill him as he tries to run off lol then u both laugh about over vent.

Dont forget about navel boat battles planned for later,they want to do in 1.0 but well u know.
They did say u could make airship and boats in the basement of the FC so lets hope they do add the navel battles.
Again ill pass judgment when i try it,cant really listen to other ppl opinions cuz they havent tried it either. From a ff fan pov the video was fine gave small bits off info,

speaking of naval battles there will also be airship battles coming down the road as well.

crafters will be able to build airships and boats this was talked about a few months back its not coming soon but in the works.

I mean... it's a promo video. I want to see actual gameplay as well, but that isn't what that video is representing, so why are you basing your opinion on it like it is?

Because we are meant to be excited by the promo video. That is it's main function. This video is insanely underwhelming. Sure the players could have moved an inch, sure they could have used different camera angles and actual player POV, but the video fails to do its job: promote. I'm not saying "OMG LAWLZ DE PVP IS BAAAAD" because I haven't tried it myself, but this video doesn't help me want to try it in the first place. The OP is correct about the VIDEO imo.

Umm, yes. Ballista was fun, actually. It would have been much more popular if it was actually rewarding as well.

However, SE is generally bad at making short videos to show things off. Cinematic trailers they do are awesome, but they always seem to mess up little things like these videos.

Don't judge PvP off this video. It was tested by legacy players in beta 4, and i can assure you it's more fun than that video makes it look.

The ability lag is so bad, it actually gives me feels.

.300 delay isn't doing it anymore.

The sheer fact that you have to pre-move for fights like Titan proves at how broken their NA network actually is.

Effective PVP requires a constant connection with immediate feedback. -- Even GW2 has a better network...and it's free.

Every mmo releases a video of stationary pvp. SWTOR did it (you were not stationary in SWTOR), WoW did it early on (weren't stationary there either), Warhammer did it (fail game but hey, still weren't stationary.) you get the picture.
