What should I do to enjoy travelling the land again?

    Hello,

I leveled 1-50 with Main Scenario and a couple side quests. This allowed me to travel all of Eorzea and enjoy all it had to offer.

Now that I am done with the main scenario I am finding that the remaining content does not require me to travel much if at all.

Yes, unlock a couple more dungeons. But then I find myself just sitting in my room, talking to my retainers, and then using Duty Finder to go to all the dungeons/primals available.

I know I can explore the world again, for the sake of exploration. But is there any content left that encourages or requires me to travel (like the main scenarios did?). Am I missing something, or is there something planned?

It's a beautiful world, and I wish to explore it. But I do want to explore it for more than just the sake of sight-seeing.

    Thank you.

I think that is your problem. If level all classes in parallel, there is no need to travel the world again. And there is a lot of reasons (class quests, gather resources, fill many hunting logs, GC log, fishing log) to travel. And still you visit new places, because new locations are reasonable to be visited only from certain levels, and you've not been there, if your classes are lower level.

    Do your hunting logs for your Grand Company and current class and;
Angle your camera to your characters eye-level so you can see the horizon and all the scenery beyond.
Never navigate by staring at your map or minimap.
If you're in a zone with unexplored regions, go take a look!

I only leveled one job (Scholar/Summoner). Others are already leveled or I do not really want to level (have 0 interest in playing them). I've done my hunting logs for my main job. I thought of doing Grand Company logs, but I have already 50k seals and nothing to spend it on :P

I guess what I am saying is, as an adventurer, I would hope there would be adventures that need me to go out and travel in order to accomplish.

Hopefully they will add another quest chain like 1-50. Take as long, and travel far, but not for the purpose of levels, but to unlock more story or content.

Cant people be a little patience? Do people really expect that an MMO release new content each week? MMO arent made in 1 day, it takes long years to make considered amount of content.

In other words IF you feel you have nothing to do, then leave and come back later when the next bigger patch comes. Quit the complaining Yes please.

to OP, you should honestly consider crafting and gathering your own resources. it seriously adds a whole new dimension to immersion because you get to travel to different areas which offer different types of resources, and with them you could create items.

also, try playing other classes for the purpose of enjoyment rather than bring it to 50 so you could do endgame content with it - it becomes less stressful and less frustrating.

another thing you could do is try to master the mechanics of all dungeons which i can assure you is not all that easy, especially if you have first timers.

anyhow, if none of these appeal to you / you do not wish to do them... well, probably try to define 'adventuring' for yourself first because experiencing the many dimensions this game has to offer is what 'adventuring' essentially is.

I think that is the problem with most MMOs these days not the people. The post wow/pre 2013 MMOs (which ARR is trying to emulate) has the basic setup of play for a few weeks to get the newest tier gear and then unsubscribe and wait for the next patch.

I like the idea of Treasure Hunt quests, that gives a good 'adventurer' reason to explore the land, so I shall look forward to that.

I understand adding a LOT of content is not easy in a new MMORPG. But I also know adding another quest chain is relatively easy when all the groundwork is already there. Even if it's just story with no dungeons or primal reward, it would still be fun (and simple enough to add).

I sort of forgot about gathering. I had leveled botanist to 50 long ago, it is probably time I take out my hatchet and go see what new stuff I can gather in this world. Thank you for that reminder!

Coming from someone who is more interested in story, lore, and adventure than loot and equipment, I hope there is some plan to add nice long quest chains where the only reward is the story and some minor battles along the way ^.^
