MRD - a DPS?

I can possibly see this due to the high potency of their attacks, and popping defiance only when you have unchained up.


Also a healer to cleanse your pacification after Berserk.

MRD doesn't get defiance. But they do get all the best DPS job abilities from Lancer & Archer combined with their native ones.

They also sit on a lot of str, a lot of HP.

I think WAR is also really underrated as a DPS, but MRD is on an entire different level from all other DPS, including SMN/BRD/MNK.

If MRD is doing that much damage, WAR would do more due to access of Relic+1, higher base STR, and Unchained+Defiance, and AF2(helm would be BiS for DPS).

The damage CDs aren't as much of a total DPS increase as you think they are.

If you had Allagan Axe, I could see it. Maybe. Not with a Titan vs. Relic+1.

do you mean using unchained, then build wraths to take afvantage of the crit bonus? i dont see much benefits frm using defiance if we r not tanking.

Defiance->Infuriate+Unchained->Build Wrath->Pop Inner beast at end of unchained timer->Take off defiance

Or does Defiance take up a GCD?
