Will Maintenance always be at these times?

Normally I'm not one to complain about server maintenance.. these things need to happen so they can fix issues and make our gaming more enjoyable.

My problem is, they are ALWAYS 7pm to 10-11pm New Zealand time, I'm always coming home from work and not being able to play the game I am paying for.

Yesterday I came home extremely tired from work and eager to play FFXIV only to have the servers shut down the minute I arrived home and came back up just as I needed to sleep.

Now it's Friday and the same thing is happening...

I'm just curious, once you fix all these "issues" how will maintenance be scheduled? once a week? once a month? or every 2-3 days -_-?

So it's more or less been 12.5 hours since the scheduled end of maintenance, or about 13 hours since the actual end of maintenance.

SE told us they would be taking down the servers 11PM-2AM PDT

They took the servers down around 10:45PM (earlier than expected) (T.T i wanted 15 more minutes of mining!!!)

The servers came back up around 1:20AM (earlier than expected)

So the servers have been up for approximately 12 hours and 20 minutes as the time I am writing this post.

If they plan to do scheduled maintenance the same as they did for FFXI then it will be once a week during non-peak hours.

Just like to throw out too, maintenance is overall rare. WoW for example, goes down the majority of a day every week, with or without a reason, with or without a patch. Its scheduled to go down at that day, and dangit its going down. SE at least only Does maintenance when it is necessary and when they are actually DOING something.
