    People have been saying to use ifrit? I have seriously never heard that before now, I thought it was common knowledge that garuda was better(Note, I'm 36 SMN, so I don't have Garuda yet.) because of it's better synergy with the class skills.

    Sadly, yes.

    Just to comment on your level 36 comment, Ifrit is better from 30-40. Once you get Shining Emerald, Ifrit shouldn't be used.

    What about for mob cleaning in regular dungeons? (I assume we're only focusing boss fights here)

    Garuda. Dots > Contagion > Bane > watch the mobs melt.

    Yeah I think the OP is referring to people who have the other Egi's beyond Ifrit. If you only have Carby and Ifrit they will prob tell you to use Ifrit if you ask. I was asked to use ifrit but it was when I only had Carby, had just unlocked Ifrit and had yet to try it so I had no UI/Macro set up. So in our case it would be comparing Ifrit to Carby because we don't have any others.

    One of Mrhappy's guides EXPRESSIVELY suggests it, even at one point says "People will tell you that it's a bad idea, don't listen to them."

    I got i a fight with a FC member over it, he was standing by the video, ignoring all attempts at me pointing out numbers, shouting YOU ARE JUST LIKE THE GUY IN THE VIDOE SAID TO LOOK OUT FOR.

    He ended up ignoring me, but he's been giving out "advice" to summoners in my FC for days.
