Lets go over a few things here

Things Dragoons bring to the group

    Piercing Debuff
Off tank (Lets say a healer pulls threat on an add. A DRG can Spineshatter dive and start defending the healer.)
Great all around damage in both DoTs and burst.
Great stun (20 sec cooldown off GCD stun)
Mobility (Jumps let you get to where you need to be)
    Threat Dump

Really fun playstyle. I really love the way the rotations/combos work.

HT > PH > FR> IDC > TTT > HT > PH > FR > TTT > and so on. It just keeps going. The number of off GCD skills you have is insane. Overall it is a very fun class.

    Now onto your question.

If you think DRGs are boring then don't play ANY ranged.

If you want to be a PLD and tank endgame that is fine. It is not a super fun class to play but it is wanted endgame for everything.

I love to heal in this game. I have a 50 SCH/SMN and a 50 DRG and I LOVE to heal. I do it whenever I am not needed as a DPS. Why do I love to heal? Because SCH is soooo good at multi tasking. You have so many things you CAN do that it makes each pull very different. You base your next move on how the Tank/group is doing. Cleric stance + 5 Dots is AMAZING.

If you are looking for fun and powerful I think you should go SCH.

    AOE pulls look like this.

Cleric Stance > Bio II > Miasma > Bio > Bane > Shadow Flare > Thunder/Aero on each target that still has a good amount of HP.

While doing this I watch the teams HP and I am ready to leave Cleric Stance at any time to heal. Here is a HUGE note. The final skill you get as a SCH heals for 20% of the targets HP even IF you are in Cleric stance. It does not care. The skill also has NO GCD. It has a 1 sec cooldown and can be used as long as you have Aether Flow. Most of the time the tanks only need a few heals from me while my pet does most of the healing. So I just throw in a few instant heals and cure debuffs when needed. Both of those don't need me to leave Cleric Stance.

If you want to hear more about SCH healing/damage just let me know. I just don't want to put you to sleep with it if its not a class you care about.
