I knew a guy that used to say whims and blims. I /staggered for a moment.
Slightly off-topic but what's with people abbreviating jobs incorrectly? WGM and DGN? Really? The abbrevs are right there in the armoury list, bros. (not anyone in this thread)

Always with an "i" wherever a vowel sound is needed to make it flow.
MiRD
GLiD
PiGL (Piggle)
ARC (As it looks)
ACiN (Ack - in)
CiNJ (Kinj)
LiNC
THiM
WAR (Obviously doesn't change)
PLiD
MiNK
BiRD
SCH - (Shh)
SiMN
WHiM
DiRG
BLiM
And yes, I actually say them this way in my head if it's written in this form. Partly because it's funny and partly because it's faster.
...You say Bird instead of Bard in your head? I guess I could see it in a deep American South South Park imitation kinda way.
They took our biiiiirds.
Yeah, I tend to stop reading the moment some Monk or Pugilist thinks PUG is the abbreviation for Pugilist. It's hard to take anyone seriously when they obviously have never looked at their skill list.
Not to be serious either. I've just never considered trying to pronounce them.

That's pretty much it. There's definitely a "softly mocking" method behind it. Like I'm diminutizing all of them. ARC and WAR only escape because it's too much effort to change.

GLD isn't an actual class abbreviation. It's GLA. (So it's kind of obvious what everyone's going to pronounce it as, given that virtually everyone makes this error.)
