All Paladins should want his sword. I cherish mine. Zantetsuken isn't a strong sword in comparison to anything ilvl55 and up, but that's not the point. The point of having it is to be a Paladin with a lightsaber because the sword is literally a freaking lightsaber. <3

no, his the gear he drops is for GLD/PLD/MRD/WAR, and zantetsuken is a GLD/PLD weapon.

as of now i have yet to find him on cactuar.

Seen him twice so far on Cactuar, hours are too random to actually get a shot for me. I've gotten bronze on first go (was level 45) and silver on second (died 4 times and was in the fight going hard on my PLD from about 90% to dead.) Not sure just how specific getting gold is though.

I have, however, never seen Behemoth.

These things are just too damned random for me.

Odin just went down on Cerberus.
I joined in at around 40-45% HP. Came out with bronze as BRD in full DL and Relic bow.
My BLM friend in full DL, had been there from the start, before he was even claimed. He too only got bronze.

The reward system for theese 2 fates, seem extremely random and FUBAR.

Why was Odin a Lalafell? I fought him earlier today and got silver but he was a lalafell. I tried to get a good shot of him while not trying to lose out on my DPS so i could try for gold medal.

hard to see him due to all the spells going off but best SS i got and you can tell by the gear and the horse thats him. I am taller then him here even on his horse XD.

I think Odin takes the form of whoever claimed him maybe? I have seen him as lalafell, and I also have a SS of him being a hyur. But there is usually another name, right below Odin, and if you look it up on lodestone, they are actual names of players.

So I just wonder, if he changes according to who claims him, get killing blow or something else...

Odin changes form to the person who got the killing blow on him the last fight. It's like-wise with the name beneath his.

I figure that due to the low spawn rate and large number of possible spawn zones we should have a way to communicate Odin's current whereabouts and status easily between online players interested in farming him to this end i have created a linkshell on CERBERUS server called "Odin's Bane"

send me a message when i'm online if your interested in joining the channel my Cerberus character is "Arashi Tymestl"

going forward i will need players willing to monitor the channel, coordinate attacks, and invite new players to the channel

of course if people don't think there is a need for it then they wont sign up
