the game is still playable without jumping. there was no jumping in FFXI and still isn't.....we really don't need it. if they decide to implement it in the future, ok cool, if they don't, o well. no jumping doesn't/wouldn't bother me at all
This game is playable without Auto-run too. We also don't NEED it.
"Playable" is not enough to be the game which SE planned to do from the start
or they're happy to be like this? like FFXI? enjoy having small group of players but can't compare to WoW or Aion fanbase? I doubt
You don't need millions of players to begin with. It's nice money income sure, but there's a good chance you're not going to even feel like you're playing with millions due to the fact MMOs tend to go the instanced route or aren't full with open world content.
XI had upwards of 750k players? It felt like it due to the massive amounts of open world content. Some MMOs you don't even see many people out in the fields beyond the cities, newbie area or dungeon route.
There are F2P MMO's with only a few thousand playing and like 1-2 servers. An MMO really only needs around 2-3K (hell, even less) active players. Servers don't hold millions anyway. I think people just like the thought of something they enjoy being popular.
However, this doesn't mean SE should be lazy & not add novelties, conveniences & cosmetic things too.
I'm so tired of this debate, they either will add it or they won't, either way get over it already.
If jumping is the biggest of your concerns, you must, well... .... ... jumping should not be something to concern yourself over is where I'm going with this.
