Races you would like to see added in the future

If they do create a Vieraesque race, I will have a super hard time deciding if I want to stay Miqo'te or phial over to that race.
I would DIE if they put in an avian race, something similar to the Yagudo, Garif, or Yuke; hell make it even easier and convert some Ixal over to be a playable race.
Other than that, I would also be pleased to see an aquatic/reptilian race of some sort.
I would make a mule just to roll one and enjoy it from time to time.


On an aside, I'm in agreement with some others in this thread that the current customization options could use some sprucing up.
It feels odd that most of the more basic customizations; i.e. scars, bandages, beauty marks; are specific to certain races, and even worse even more specific to only ONE face type within those races at times.

It does make sense to have only the race specific ones available solely to those races, such as the forehead marks for Miqo'te and Lalafell (even then I think those are the only ones that are race specific?).
But shouldn't those other basic options be usable on any race?

I really don't see this one happening as it kind of goes against the lore of the game (I.E. need to be really damn special to see moogles)

I liked their proposition for mixed race. Be cool to have a hyur with Roe noses and skin tones, but at the same time, i fear we already have enough cat ears going around as it is, and if the lalafell get their hands on them we may as well just go home lol.

I always found Viera to be frightfully ugly but it pretty much seems to win every poll i've seen floating about, if its not added in the expansion I feel like theres going to be a bit of a debacle. Personally I'd prefer a wolf race, not a cosplay jpop puppy ears thing but actual canine heads. I think we definitely have enough cute/sexy/handsome with the current races. If they were going to add something new, it should be something we don't really have already.

If you really insist, but I can assure you it's not garbage its common knowledge now;

They mentioned in several Live Letters that 'Viera' were proving VERY popular, but Yoshida wasn't 100% sure on how you could create a male Viera character without it looking too feminine, and then there's other possibilities for beast men races and the like at that stage it was only something the development team had started the gorund work on and that they'd discuss it 'more in future'.

However for this first Live Letter it seemed to be a quick mention on the likes of a beastmen race, dragons or something unlike the usual in XI or XIV.
