
First post, oh so very over dramatic. I'm sure they will add some coffers down the line to appease people, but really...no point in changing it. Adding loot to it? Naw, I believe they already have a road-map as to how/when gear is going to be released and that would throw a wrench into those plans. Have you defeated Turn 5 coil yet? This game has plenty to offer, especially compared to recent MMO offerings...Also, I think it's great that their communication is better than FF11. I remember the mystique behind those Ebon Panels in "Sea". Never resolved, at least not from the time that I quit.

Just because there is no loot and no boss doesn't mean there is nothing to be gained there. perhaps there is a buff or something of some kind that lasts for a predetermined amount of time that will give players an edge to clear turn 5. It just cannot be for nothing. Yoshi said maybe 100 players would complete turn 5 before 2.1 hits and that can't just be from difficulty alone.

Wow, LS mate busted this out last night. Extremely disappointing. I think Turn 3 is the coolest dungeon I've ever seen, and it's completely wasted that there isn't more design to it. Yet another classic example of how Japanese game developers have lost touch.
Even though there is nothing to this turn, I honestly wish they would have not told us, and let us play around in it some more. Regardless of it being pointless, it was still fun.
Edit: Although the idea that what is done on turn 3 may affect turn 5 is interesting, I'm not sure how/why it would.

Deffinatley feels like a huge waste of potential we needed something like a secret boss in the game for anyone that isnt a complete derp once you have had the initial week struggle of grasping each turn you can do turns 1-4 in under an hour and a half then bash you head against turn 5 from BS battle mechanics "twisters im looking at you". it would have been super cool to have actually had the idea that each coil is pregressively harder, and the "its a break after turn 2" bs is a poor excuse this is meant to be end game content something that people should be struggling with for a lot longer than most of us have.

If it was something, of course Bayohe wouldnt have been allowed to say by the pr peeps. If it on the other hand wasnt something, he would say that it was, just to make it stay a mystery.

This!!!!!In game design there is one philosophy they like to give you a nice easy relaxing level after doing something way harder. Turn 2 can be somewhat stressful with the required silences, aoe dodging, allegan rot disease passing. Reason being it gives the players a mental break, before the harder Turn 4.
