Mytho options for Paladin endgame

Hey guys,

I have about 477 Mythology tomestones remaining after +1-ing my brand new, shiny Holy Shield yesterday. After the next reset, I'd be able to get about 777 Mythology tomestones for the coming week (what a nice number, isn't it?).

My question is how I should spend them. I've heard people telling me that Curtana +1 isn't worth it - in contrast, Holy Shield +1 is worth it, and that's what I went for first, and that I should save them and spend them on Valor gear. Only problem with Valor Gear is that it will take ages for me to get them, since Darklight gear is one of those 2-in-1 piece gears, so I'll need to buy both relevant Valor parts together, or buy one and use AK gear for the other part.

You can buy valor hands first if you want. Its not a 2 piece.

What I'm looking for is a general direction I should head towards. Should I skip out Curtana +1, and go for Valor gear set? Or pick a few Valor parts, mix them up with AK gear? Or get Curtana +1?

I can't help you really prioritize gear upgrades as I'm in the same situation on my PLD and WAR, but if you are about to do Coil or are currently doing it, look at what drops from the first two floors before you start spending myth. You may very well end up in a situation like I was when you're about to buy the myth body and the Coil body drops for you. This puts me in a situation where I can say that since the helmet doesn't drop until the last floor is beaten, I can prioritize a helmet over other things.

Curtana +1 is one of the best upgrades you can do you will need it for holding hate on mobs.

My recommendation would be as follows;

If having hate problems, get +1, otherwise it isn't going to help you survive longer, kind of a waste otherwise.

Other than that, the myth ring is BiS. Pretty sure the wristlets are as well. The head drops off Twins (we assume, nobody has it), so the helm is a safe buy if the chest piece drops. I'll be going for this if the chest drops soon.

Valor + Hoplite will beat Darklight, even in defense.

I picked Curtana +1 and will upgrade my shield. After that, A mytho ring. Then the valor upper.

I did a spreadsheet on this - AF2 Chest + AK Helm = +2 defense | AF2 Boots + AK legs = -1 Defense. In both cases the AF2/AK combo beat the daylights out of DL in vit/str/parry.

I am still working Relic as my FC is pretty casual, but I will have 1008 Mytho by the end of this week - I will be going AF2 chest first, getting my DL Flanchard, then my next 300 mytho will go to HS+1, then I am going to play it by ear from there.

From what I can tell AF2 BP is better than the coil BP, while some of the other stuff is worse or interchangeable with coil gear. I am very interested in what others have to say though, as I almost made this exact thread a few days ago : D

I would suggest getting your Curtana+1 first before anything else. You can easily do Coil in Darklight gear and just work your Valor upgrades off of the drops you get from Turn 1 and 2. You can't go wrong with extra threat from the increased damage, even if you're not having threat issues.
