    Proposition to Bahamut Coil to help other players

    I've seen this posted somwhere and I honestly think this is a great idea.

    I understand that SE doesn't want us to spam Coil and get geared in 3-4 days and that is fine with me.

    But how about this If exemple Player A wins turn 1 during said week, he should be able to go back to turn 1 to help friends, BUT player A would just get locked on Gear drop

    So I win turn 1, goes to help my friend do turn 1 and win, well I cannot lot gear since I already won turn 1 that week

    I agree, it's super annoying I can't help friends or experience the combat on all my jobs, it's the only fun and challenging content where I actually get to play all my jobs to their max potential but I can't do it more than once per week per job.

    I hope SE fixes this, because right now it's better to level another character for every job you level over using the armory/job system. Literally nothing different from any other MMO, yet it's a main selling point of the game.

    Maybe implementing a class lock wouldn't be a bad idea though in this instance Arcanist would have the advantage of having 2 jobs/two attempts for the price of leveling one class.

    Basically what they could do is lock you out of playing on "job a" when you beat said coil on the job but only up to a max of 4 jobs.

    So if you have WAR, PLD, MNK, BLM and BRD at 50 and geared for coil, you would only be able to do a run with 4/5 before being locked out of said coil for the rest of the week.

    This way players that had maybe leveled a healer, a tank and a DD will be able to rotate with one another or change the party setup to allow others to enter the dungeon if their FC numbers are 12-20-30/lack being divisible by 8 with no leftovers.

    You may want to help friends and that's fine and all, but I can guarantee you are a minority in that case. With all the titan sales it's clear as day the majority of this community would rather be out for a quick buck over actually legitimately helping other people. Some try and run people through for free, but for every free run there's atleast 2-3 people that buy their way into a relic(it would be the same for coil if not worse).

    So I would think that there needs to be a change to how Coil works in FFXIV setup currently. This mainly comes from the 1 char all job setup. I personally play BRD and WAR. my BRD runs coil currently, and my WAR will be ready within the week, but I can not run coil each week on both jobs by the current system.

    I'd like to see locks be by your job, not by your character. But the issues here is multiple jobs run multiple times and with FC runs you can get all the gear for that first class very fast if the 2nd and 3rd runs are basically the same people and just work to max out first classes. Loot lock when doing 2nd runs and such makes it easier for the others to gear much faster as less people rolling, so this means you need to lose a chest or possibly both if using too many loot locked people (7loot locked and 1 fresh person, should that person get 2 loot or even 1 100%, I say no as it is 1/4 or les you get loot now), which ppl will rage about.

    Point is they did the simplest thing they can do for locks, and while it works for now, in the future when most raiders have multiple geared jobs it will suck alot more. in other MMO it is by char, but you have a different char for each JOB so you can raid once per JOB, and this is something I would like to see added, just need to put some checks in so the 1% do not try to cheat the system and make an even bigger gap in gearing.
