Honestly, it wouldn't take long to make millions from selling tome items (see: Potash, Peacock Ore, Animal Fat, etc.). I just don't have the time, nor the patience, to grind that much for money since I haven't had a use for it in a loooooooong time, lol.

i call BS right after you said you was farming mils off of darksteel at lv42, i have a 50 miner an i know for a fact that without Truth of Mountian, you wouldve been to lucky to even get 1 successful attempt off of the unspoiled node, and most of the time wouldve jsut got "You Obtain Nothing".

Most world currencies are not backed by anything. They are just pieces of paper/coins with no intrinsic value.

Financial derivatives do not represent any real objects. The US derivatives market totals something like $600 trillion which is more than 10x the world GDP.


All of these still have value because people collectively place 'faith' in the system. If I spent many many hours acquiring a currency which is deemed real enough to warrant rampant RMT only to have it stripped away I'd feel robbed as well.

Once I hit 46, I started mining darksteel ore and was the only provider for the whole server for about 5 days. So here are my prices:
3 DS ores on market: 13k each

And then ppl who bought your ore at 13k each go charge 9999999 Gil for their craft (at least they have to cover the mat cost) and since only Gil buyer can afford that,all the crafters who bought ore from you are filled with RMT gil. Of course they will keep buying your ore again, so eventual RMT flow back into your pocket.
