In 11 you could get almost all kinds of gear by just buying it.
Leveling was slow (In my time) and you needed people to get anywhere or do just about anything.
Crafting sucked
11 was a great experience for me, and I was a bit disappointed this game started off a bit too easy, but as I got closer to the end of the game, I began to notice it had the soul of 11. It wasn't as easy as how it started, it escalated as you progress. Somehow the feel of the atmosphere in the game makes me feel like I'm really playing a ff.
The story could've been better though, it was all just a "Good vs Evil sorta Kingdom Hearts thing" going on, but it wasn't terrible.
It's not 11 and it's not WoW, it's something in the middle, and I like it.
haahahahahahahahahhaha.
are you kidding me? really? I mean really? you are comparing this game to world of warcraft?
1. wow difficulty was never designed around dodging red circles on the ground, in combination with a game engine that is so poor it makes you take damage after you are out of the circle.
2. in wow, quest items are turned in without extra mouse clicks.
3. in wow if I finish a quest I am allowed to turn it in
4. in wow, accessing my bank is one click. in this game it is several clicks to summon retainer, go through menus, etc.
5. when i tab target in wow, i get targets in my field of vision, and it will cycle through. in this game, who knows what you might end up targeting, and if you want to get back to it, it wont cycle through.
I understand this is a different game, and is meant to be, but DONT ever compare this game to wow. it will be several years of patches before it is even close in quality, even if it is different.
So your saying WOW is easier then this that's sad
can I start a petition to have you go play FF11 if you want the game to be like that? This game is basically WOW in FF form. It seems nothing from Squares own game FF11 was even added in this game. Add NM for the love of god not FATES but NM that drop good gear. You can have people obtain an item and use that item to spawn the NM so only that person and there party can fight it and make it hard so you have something other then turn 4 and 5 in the coil that is hard.
If anyone out there feels the same please sign this thread and hope that SE will respond.
FF11 is still running and you're still free to play it, and there are many people with your mind doing exactly that. Why not join them instead of demanding that they change the game to be like something it's specifically trying to be different from?
How is that any different than doing a Trial? Except for maybe a tons of people will gather around to watch and lag your game causing your party to wipe.
Or maybe you wanted it so that if you aren't the first FC to spam your item on the NM spot you had to wait another 72 hrs to try again.... sure sounds like fun.
So the OP is saying that we should make a game produced in 2013, more similar to games produced circa 2000, when this 2013 game already has coding, and concepts which COME from that circa 2000 game without being properly updated? The game should be as little like FFXI as possible, that game is over 10 years old, and trying to reproduce "a modern version" can only end in failure, see 1.0 as FFXIV 1.0 was very similar to a FFXI-2.
No thanks. I tried out XI and I hated it. It made me want to punt puppies, kick kittens and head-butt babies. But the OP is more than welcome to go back to playing XI since they love it so much. I will stay here and eagerly await what future patches hold for XIV.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
MMORPGS, the only gaming genre where people say its too much or not enough like other games in the same genre.
I Can’t Believe It, Miqo'te got some ass, I wanna see it. Roegadyn got a ass, It ain’t a secret.
