Petition to Make Game Less Like WOW and More Like FF11

This game is basically WOW in FF form. It seems nothing from Squares own game FF11 was even added in this game. Add NM for the love of god not FATES but NM that drop good gear. You can have people obtain an item and use that item to spawn the NM so only that person and there party can fight it and make it hard so you have something other then turn 4 and 5 in the coil that is hard.

If anyone out there feels the same please sign this thread and hope that SE will respond.

Actually they've borrowed a ton from FFXI, from mobs to jobs. This however is a completely different game with different mechanics, like every Final Fantasy game that has come before it. FFXI still exists, you can go play it, FFXIV is a different game and is quite successful at the moment.

Sigh... Go play ff 11 then. I'm very sure myself and many are here to play FF14 not 11 or 1.0 or WoW. Let them innovate on their own without you demanding something already avavlible somewhere else.

What's the point of NMs if you can grind Fates and get to 50 in a week or 2? Personally I played FFXI for about 7 years and I can think of a lot more things I'd rather see. How about a summoner job that's actually summoner for starters :P

FFXI aside, I'd rather they add more hard modes and additional dungeons + floors to coil before they add anything else.

You might be better asking SE to use the ARR graphics engine in FF11. It would be cheaper.

Hey the character models are almost the same

Probably cost about 10-20 mil to do it still.

No thanks, I'd rather it be more like FF14. Encourage devs to be more original and not just make the game the spitting image of one that is already out...

Like this post if you would rather sign a petition to make combat actually as flawless as in wow.

FF11 is quite possibly the worst MMO I ever had the displeasure of playing, and I played some massive Korean stinkers in my day. It had no redeeming qualities. Combat was embarrassingly rubbish, like it was made by a drunk 8-year-old learning to program for the first time. Job balance was so bad, it makes WAR and PLD in ARR look like perfect harmony. The game was just a grindy timesink, with nothing ever resembling difficulty. Players spent the majority of their time "playing" FF11 while watching television. You want to play a bad game like FF11? Go back and play FF11.

Using the same skins, or remastered skins and naming things similarly isn't borrowing that much.

Paladin in XIV and Paladin in XI play nothing alike. White mage in the two games play nothing alike. I can't think of any job that really does.

XIV ARR is a young game and it's hampered by the need for pretty much instant success following the failure of XIV 1.0. So Yoshi and co go for the quick wins, get lots of people in, give them stuff and achievements fast, a la WoW. Then patch on patch it'll get ramp up I think. More content but harder to do, keep you hooked on shinies a bit further out of reach each time. But a few patches in the subs numbers will have stabilised and as content is added, it'll be more like the XI environment, like standing in Jeuno listening to people asking for help with all sorts of missions if you recall. ARR doesn't have the luxury to be a hard as nails game from day 1 like XI was, becoming easier, it's had to start with a low learning curve to make up for the 1.0 failure.
