How important is defense for a PLD...?

paladins are fine, other than the lack of AOE attacks or if scorn was on a lower cooldown so it would be usefull,but you have to cycle properly through your cooldowns and use them In the right situations. if you don't then you are as good as dead, paladins are not overpowerd I don't even know what planet you are on to come up with that lol and as for the 1 2 3 combo im pretty sure warriors get a lot more utility than paladins do I should know I have a paladin anda warrior :P

no. are you stupid? PLD is not op with their passive 20% mitigation, and 20%, 40% mitigation from CDs. not op at all. they also dont have a 6s cd like us warriors DEFINITELY have. Your WAR is level 33. you have absolutely 0 experience as an end game warrior. your input here is worth very, very, very VERY little. CD in the right situation? learn the fight. Oh, the boss has a big hit coming up? better pop Rampart so i have 40% mitigation, or maybe ill even use Sentinel, so i can have 60% mitigation. Warrior is definitely on the same level. yea.

I would take it further and point out the aoe threat building using mp instead of tp, the blind, the silence, and the free aoe DoT, pacify, not to mention the str down that PLD get provide FAR more utility than what WAR gets. Because WAR gets nothing but a stun. Maybe some are using Haymaker...but other than that, WAR brings absolutely no utility.

And yes, I have both a WAR and PLD at 50, and I was completely disturbed by how unfinished a WAR seems now after playing PLD. Looking at the 1.0 skill list, it looks like they took everything of tanking utility away. In fact, I can see no reason why anybody would say that WAR is designed to be an offtank, because it's easier to pick up adds as PLD, safer (Blind + Bloodbath + FoF + CoS = Who needs Rampart?), and logically would make more sense for the WAR to fight a single enemy since they have no mitigation against a group of enemies beyond Bloodbath + Vengeance.

And no, I'm not ranting, because my PLD is 50, so I'll just play that until they add the rest of the tanking skills to WAR.
