I told my lead programmer about this server side "exploit" and he started laughing... then almost started crying. Your coding practices are so poor that you made my lead programmer cry.

Here we are, busting our butts off! While hackers and botters rule Eorzea, It's sickening.

It's hard to get the motivation to do things in game when stuff like this is still going on.

It's hard to try to make gil when somebody can just push a button and have billions of it instantly. It's hard to level up when somebody can just push a button and ding 50 without ever leaving town for the first time. It sucks to be on a non legacy realm while seeing people run by on goobbues and the like.

Why does it bother you?

It personally doesnt bother me because I'm not affected by it, however if I was trying to make money of say Shards, you can say goodbye, by the time you collect 1000 to put up, RMT have botted about 100,000 and you have zero chance to make money, this, with every item gathered. Pretty tough sometimes for early income.

OP reminds me of my younger brother who would get the same dessert as I but in a different dish which would result in him crying and asking for what I had instead. People are trying to make money off of everything in life. Deal with it or don't.

How does the fact someone else can get anything easier than you effect YOU in any way?
I mean if someone can cheat and just get everything in the game then you should not play? I tell ya what then. You better stop doing anything because real life is full of things just like that.
People born rich, they get everything they want. Meanwhile you have to earn it. Well you better quit your job then and go cry in a corner or you can just ignore these people and take pride in what YOU do and ignore other people.

Running about on a forum making threads like this doesn't mean someone cares more. It just means they want to cry about it.
Everyone know the bots are out there. I have spent plenty of time reporting them. It doesn't mean i will let them spoil my fun or make me want to quit because "what's the point"
