Yeah, I'll toss out that not seen mobs in fates or npc taking forever to load isn't limited to the PS3. I have a PC more then capable of handling the game and a 173mb/s Internet connection and still have trouble with things loading. It's the games code, not a console. Mobs an npcs should take load priority over PCs.

imagine playing on a PC with mid range parts 10+ years ago. Thats what SE has to work with when making this game for PS3.
It was made for PS3 just to uphold a dated contract that should of never happened
Please just buy the game for PC or PS4 when it arrives. All your problems will go away.

I don't believe your PC is more then capable if you have the same issue. I play on 6.0 mb/s internet and 50+ players and 50+ mobs load perfectly fine for me along with all the animations to go along with it. its not internet speed thats not causing things to load for you its VRAM. Get a new GPU

It's a confirmed issue with the game for people on both platforms.

I play on SSD PS3 on a Japanese server and I experience NO LAG.

I play on an NA server with a PS3 slim and cable internet and experience very little lag. And the reason we can't see FATEs is because of th asinine amount of people who Zerg rush through them all especially in he higher level zones combined with SE's coding deciding to render pets and other player characters before the freaking mobs. Svara was a wonderful example of how asinine FATEs are right now with huge groups of players.

then you really do just need to update your PC. I can post screen shots with probably hundreds of players/mobs on the screen all at once and all their animations going on making a huge light ball

My PC is top notch (I5 3570K, GTX 780 Classified, 8GB DDR3, SSD) and I still cant see Odin or Behemoth at times its not a PS3 issue its an issue with the code which they need to fix. I also have 50MB Internet,

Actually you probably have 50Mb internet, megabit, not megabyte as denoted by the upper case B. 50Mb internet is around 6MB internet fyi. 50MB internet would be about 400Mb internet, not too many isp's selling that right now, just saying. I'm an IT guy, it bugs me when people mix up the B and b. and actually, since you are not transmitting very much data for ffxiv (maybe 2Mbs? tops) the rest is just wasted, or used for other pc's in your house. so a 5Mb connection would be just as fast as your 50Mb in this case. IE 50Mbs is only faster than a 5Mbs if you have the need to transfer more than 5Mbs. Bandwidth, not Bandspeed. (I pulled the 5Mbs number out of my butt fyi for the analogy)

I personally haven't come across much lag on the PS3 since the last patch, although I haven't played it on PC due to mine being under powered for this game.

Besides, I've played XI for longer than I dare think about and I only noticed lag on PC and not XBOX.

How about SE just make it so if your are 6 levels below a fate you get 0 exp that would solve some issues there.
