circle chasing chocobo race simulator- nerf it

this post is mainly about personal preference.

The mojority of kids at the end of this game will walk away from their maxed 20 classes screaming and hollering about how this game was a load of crap when all they did was spend the majority of it chasing blue circles on their motion-sickness educing yellow birds/ cyclops.

The main focus of this game intended was to enjoy every little nook and cranny that Square Enix has put together for us. i went the majority of my experience pissed and agitated because I was rolling through the game on my bird and wondering why the game was spitting storyline after storyline in my face.

That's when I realized that this game has better potential, from then on I absolutely refuse to use a mount or even dash unless a new set of armor was needed. I treat this game like I treat Dark Souls or Skyrim, it is meant to be lived, not sped through.

I swear I go everytime in this game hearing about people who say they think this game sucks and they wonder why. The main focus of this game is being overshadowed by the game breaking, bandwagon vomit known as Full Active Time Event

hes just pissed cause people don't play how he plays. therefore he is mad that square enix would dare to accommodate other players who don't share his views. all in all he sounds like he is just ranting like 90% of the other posts here and has not once thought of anyone but himself. carry on and let this post die.

Something to the effect that FATEs are making him mad because other people play them and aren't overly engrossed in every nuance and detail in every text bubble of the story.

So basically it's another "I h8 FATEs, NERF NAO!!" thread.

FATEs aren't the problem: zerging FATEs is, especially when they're done in a matter of seconds after they're up in most crowded zones (which are selected because they offer the best potential in that very matter).

Even if I would not like to level as fast as possible, I would still do some FATEs here and there. Hell, I even do FATEs if I'm the only one trying it (in some obscure zones). Thing is, you can't enjoy the game the same way once you finished every quest. You gotta find something else. You could farm mobs for 250-500 exp a pop, but it wouldn't be better than zerging FATEs and would take way too much time.

Fates are not the problem, zerging fates is not the problem, people who dont like leveling this way then complaining about it are the problem. It does not hurt 1 single person as much as everyone likes to disagree. If you sit back and look at it, the majority of those that zerg fates only reflects maybe 10% of the population. I have actually met more people that dungeon spam with a group for hours on end than do fates. Or if your like myself i do a bit of both.

Agree. It's all too easy to blame game mechanics nowadays...

For some unknown reason, a lot of players just keep narrowing themselves to one "fastest way to get to lv50" method, disregarding everything else because they are "not as fast" as FATEs. Why just focusing on "fastest"/"most effective" instead of the "most fun"? Isn't "fun" the reason we play a game?

Start a DF queue. While queuing, craft a bit, or run around for gathering. When DF hits, have fun, greed or need on all sorts of armors, there are so many cool ones to collect, for all your future classes...If FATEs happens, join if you like, not if you don't. Treat FATEs are more like random bonus, instead of camping it to happen...
Do some leve in betweens...
Talk to every NPC with a name overhead...approach those NPC without a name overhead, and read what they say...try to get to some rooftop, explore a bit, take some screenshots...
Try mix and match armor pieces, for vanity slots will come...try to dye them too...
There are so many things to do.

Just don't play a game like a job or homework...
