Have you considered asking your fc or ls to help you?

Quite often in my fc we are going back to these fights to help one or two members


I also feel keeping these fights out of duty finder is a good move because it forces you to meet people on your server and make friends. Something you need to to do CoB

Also sometimes all you need to do is ask someone in a tell if they would mind coming to help you. You may get the peps that ignore you or tell you to F off but generally atleast on exodus peps will say ya no prob. Friend list these peps or make your own link shell (you can have up to 8) link shells at a time. And this will become your pool of peps to pull from to get stuff done faster

This by the way was a terrible idea. Having to spend the better part of a weekend to shout and get stuff done was awful. Did it toughen you up? Absolutely but it also turned a lot of players away from the game. Especially when new FoTM came about. I waited as a PLD for days to get parties because everyone wanted a ninja tank because healers liked healing them more. Had nothing to do with my skill level but all to do with the dynamics of the game. Made me quit for a while before coming back to find out PLD is now in demand

This game purposely puts people at max level rather than having to grind for it. So the argument of instant gratification is kinda moot. Game puts everyone there.

I don't think it's so much an impatience from a lot of these people, my FC is full of people between the ages of 25-40 its more that hey we have jobs and lives, and social things to go to. Heck, my FC will be doing runs through for people to get relics this weekend, but nope we're in charge of turkey weekend so while I have the bosses down my partner who doesn't may have to go searching for a group. I however think it's less hurt by duty finder, and more hurt by the fact that most people ignore shout.

There reason to that cuz back then most of the games were shit and grindfest even without lfg tool they still better than all the games out there at that time. Try that now and you will see noone would stick around . Now a day pple expect alot from MMO due to the fact there tons of mmo out there so they offer all kind of choices.

Also what's so wrong with wanting to expand the pool of players that you can participate with. Yes you'll never see them again but at least the option is there. I'd much rather spend 2 hours in DF while leveling a second class then spend 2 hours in Mor Dhona shouting for groups.
