Most classes do get a crapload of instantspells...

You're assuming I am not a good healer. I am starting to think I am pretty darn good based on my ST and other runs. I have no problem fitting instants into the gap. It's a flow thing, not a skill issue.

I don't understand why you're complaining?..

Faster than what? I am not complaining, I am questioning.

But: (Why?) do we have casting times as well?!

I think this kind of fits what I am questioning.

It's modeled after the turn based system of previous Final Fantasy games.

I knew what I was going to cast well before ATB was up in most situations. This only changed when unexpected damage came in. If I know what heal I need next and have it readied to go after the cast time, the lag with GCD hinders--not helps--my healing.
