The account suspensions and gil reset leave a black mark on this game.

to those saying they didnt banned the ppl who bought the gear

1. unless they have a log that logs evry indavendual gear and peraon the gear has been tradded to/crafted on it be impossiable to trace it

2. again as said before crafters shouldnt of been so gready on a fresh server charging 1+mil for items on a brand new server of corse SE is going to target you and those with large amounts of gil

3. Gil Sellers arnt that stupid to put to big of ammounts of gil on 1 account (unfortinitly) thuse makes it hard to find them

4. again as meny have said unless they loged every single thing its gonna take a good bit of time to do anything

and for all of those who played 11 you all know SE isnt known for there speed THEY love taking there sweet time on anything

no one knows what SE is going to do this could just be temp for all we know they could of just targeted the larger accounts cleaned them till they can figure out if it really was RMT or not for all we know they could get there gil back NO ONE KNOWS

to the guy saying his wife got targeted even though she crafted every day again as i said to the OP we dont knwo what SE has in mind and they dont need to tell us couse then thats just givving the RMTs a way around it which would make this all pointless

you keep going on about real money and real transactions in RL (as do meny others in thsi thread) 1 thing canterfiting isnt easy in RL even harder now adays witht hem changing the ink all the time and the plates and even if they managed it only a few groups would ever be cappable of it which they would have them monitered 24/7 (yes i knwo some does go on)

i dont knwo if your a little kid or what but in RL if your account if found to have conterfit they freaze your account deniing you accsses to everything and may even take everything JUST AS SE DID but SE still allowed ppl to use there accounts

No, I wasn't affected, but this is still important enough to talk about because if players don't stand up for the minority, then SE will be able to continually get away with hostile actions against its own player base. If SE targets 1% of the community and 99% says "Oh well, I wasn't affected, I don't care" then they could target a different 1% the next month and the same thing will happen. Since it's a small number of people affected/complaining, they can't make much noise and it blows over until the next time it happens and the process repeats. This isn't something I like to see happening to other players and it's not a precedent I want to see set that players are deemed guilty for playing the game as intended. Even if you don't care about your fellow player, you might care if the next time this happens it's your progress getting wiped and the developers and a large portion of the community label you a cheater.

There are roughly 500 posts about this subject, that's being very generous since most of them consist on the same people posting over and over.
At a total population estimate of half a million, that number represents 0.001%. Since realistically speaking only 5-10% of the population is active on the forums, that brings the number to an astounishing .09%, more or less, of people complainning by this "game pooping" problem.

I would think that the amount of gold sellers in this game account for far more than that, so you very well be sticking up for them.

And no one will be labeling anyone a cheater unless you let them know. Is not like SE is making a list of suspended accounts public.

Many who complain on the forums are labeled cheaters by the community. In that one vague statement SE gave on the matter, they mentioned third party tools and RMT, they made absolutely no mention of legitimate players.

If it turns out I am only sticking up for RMT and everyone affected is a cheater, then I'd gladly admit I'm wrong, but there's a lot of testimonials floating around and the actions taken against those players suggest that this is not the case. If SE had a process that involved more than "try and catch a bunch of people with a lot of gil and reset their progress," and it turns out they actually thoroughly investigated and every single player affected is a cheater, it would be nice to hear something from a representative that confirms that this is the case. If we just shrug our shoulders and say "Oh well, we can't know either way" and don't bother to ask for a higher standard, it gives SE free reign to take any action against the players with no backlash whatsoever as long as they make sure to target a small minority.

You should go outside and use this kind of energy in the real world where this kind of energy will make a real difference then in a game where the devs are more interested on the majority then a select few who rely on their greed to accomplish their goals and not the communities.
