Directional Crafting

Directional crafting was a superstition on FFXI. Never proven to be true and to this day is kind of ridiculous if you think about it. Part of the reason is because in FFXI numbers for crafting werent NEARLY as transparent (and involved no skill of the player, it was all luck). Here when you see 90%, it's 90%. No direction faced will change your 90% to be more or less, although RNG can make it seem as though it is not 90%.
