I farm at the DD fate cos its the best place to level my chocobo while being 50 .. my chocobo is rank6 now when the fate start i do it. i dont get exp but my chocobo does get EXP ..it's not against the rules i dont use program or anything. i fight for it myself and hard. Its take so long to level a chocobo

Just finish it every time you see it, the dopes that blacklist you or swear at you aren't worth your time anyways. Also I guess finishing it early would be a great way to rid some trash from your server! Just report the ones that harass and curse and finish it, then move on your happyway~

You shouldn't be killing the lambs anyway... why would you? it's a win/win situation, people want EXP and if you're killing the lambs, obviously people are gonna be upset.

I think the major problem that you have in this whole thread is that you went around this the wrong way:

You first stated that you thought that a FATE and how people were doing it was exploiting. That alone, when so many people do it that way, will raise the shackles and get defensive.

You then state that you want an answer from a GM who has given one regarding the issue: It's legit.

You FINALLY came around and said you were called names and harassed for doing the FATE the way it should be: That should have been your first and only argument regarding this. I can agree that in no case and form should you be cussed out for doing something that has a goal. No one should have that right to harass, insult and otherwise be a dink. But unfortunately, this is the internet and anonymity tends to make people giant idiots. To this I say: take their name, report them, be done with it. That's all you can do. Blacklist them if you want. You just do what you want to do but know that you're not doing it optimally because the fate allows you to gather a whole lot of XP rather easily.

I still enjoy all the tears being shed when people think their fate exp is threatened. Hell before the devs came in and told us that somehow this was "Working as intended" people got downright hostile at the thought of not being able to ding any faster than they can allready.

While normally I'm all for people playing the game how they want, this one does annoy me a little. The usual defense that I see for killing the lambs ASAP is that 1) they think it's an exploit not to 2) they are farming seals and so the sooner it ends, the better for them 3) perhaps they truly do not realize the exp potential and are just doing a FATE as they normally do and 4) they are simply arses who are purposefully trolling the FATE to upset people

To those who are using the "farming seals" excuse - there are other FATES that occur while DD is going on. While it can be viewed as selfish for people to ask for you to do other FATES instead, I think it's more of an arsey move to end it early and deprive a huge amount of people the EXP that normally goes along with it. Again, there are other FATES that occur during that time, farm those. There isn't another place where someone can get 80-100K EXP in one sitting.

With all that said, I do think the shouting/name calling is beyond obscene. Sadly, it's also beyond a lot of people to just play nice. And that's not just for the name callers.

But the thing is it IS working as tended, there is no "somehow" about it, people being butthurt killing the lambs are usually people that can't get a party for it or simply like others being in misery with them. and i would love to know how you ding fast without fates when all your quests are exhausted and not depending on something that has limited number of tries.
