I see no problem with people buying titan kills.
Square Enix really screwed up with Titan HM because they made it so that there is absolutely zero incentive to run Titan HM again after you beat it once.
This creates the problem of a dwindling amount of players available to run Titan HM after most have beaten it once. For most players in this situation, this means it's impossible for them to get a Titan win since there's not enough players left to form a team with, and 99% of the time you can't beat it in a duty finder pug. You can't say the same about Ifrit and Garuda because people will replay those over and over to get their weapons.
Until Square Enix changes Titan HM so that people have a reason to keep running it, I see no problems with a few dedicated teams selling wins so that most people can get over this gap.
Its a bit pointless to rant about this, ppl will do what they please because they pay for it. If someone doesn't have a team to beat a run but has gil to pay for the win, what's wrong with it? as long as he/she didn't buy the gil from RMTs don't see anything wrong. Demand and supply.
The only people I can imagine would have any issue with Titan runs being sold..Are the people that cannot afford to be run through Titan, and feel like they will be unable to find a group if everyone else is carried.(Which I highly doubt will be the case)
Otherwise...why does it matter?
People are funny... I think both the seller and the buyer are at fault...but then again so be it spend you gill how you want to.
LOL this is hilarious.Who said anything about using anyone? I'd love to see my group beat Titan HM WITHOUT me (tank). You sound like a casual player, I'm sorry that you want your relic so bad you're willing to pay for it, but relics are relics for a reason.
Titan is the current divider between dedicated, and casual players. If you're a casual player, guess what, you either need to step up your game, or be happy not having a relic, at least not now.
Yoshi-P has said several times that while they want the game to be accessible by everyone, they respect their "hard-core" players, and they will always have "exclusive" content, a peak at the top of the mountain to climb.
Yes that person is casual, but what right do you have to tell him he can't be carried?
Nice strawman. The only people I can imagine would have any issue with Titan runs being sold..Are the people that cannot afford to be run through Titan, and feel like they will be unable to find a group if everyone else is carried.(Which I highly doubt will be the case)
Otherwise...why does it matter?
There's a lot of reasons it matters to some people. Instead of using selective bias to read what you want to read, I suggest you read some arguments from the side that are against selling runs to see where they stand before spouting off your childish assumptions.
i cant believe Wkc2 server been shut down and this game is popular... PATHETIC
Player
There's a better than good chance they'll have an easier time finding a Free Company or Linkshell that can take Coil and will accept him if he has his Relic. Most Free companies who do Coil will likely accept a well geared player more readily. I doubt he's looking to create a Pick up group for Coil, thats almost suicide lol... So yah. Getting past Titan and obtaining your Relic serves a purpose, and thats being more well geared to get into a Company capable of taking Coil. The point is, that if organizing a group of 8 people to kill Titan is too much for these people buying a run, then do you honestly think they will stand a chance in coils? Chances are any of them that make it past turn 1 will again, be carried by another FC that's already farming the lower turns.
So... yah, I still imagine he'll do just fine, bought or not. As i mentioned in another "buy titan" thread, buying Titan isn't about being carried, Its about not wanting to waste your time with the Duty Finder or whatever failing over and over because you get unlucky with shouts or Duty. Most people who buy Titan runs are the folk working on their 2nd/3rd etc relic who just don't want to deal with Duty Finder fails. Most (NOT ALL) people who buy Titan are plenty skilled enough to do Coil, Its just Titan is a very challenging fight for everyone, Healing, Tank, DD, and to some people its not worth the effort failing over and over because of someone elses mistakes.
This isn't the case for everyone, But its not like everyone who buys Titan wins is doing it cause they suck and want to be carried... Its far from that.
Edit: Oh, And sorry for the horrifically delayed response :|
