    It's cause healers would /tell each other stuff like "This tank sucks doesn't he?" or the Tanks would tell the healers to stop the DPS for attacking mobs out of order. Can't talk behind peoples' backs now. /conspiracy

    Oh yeah there is NO WAY you would ever want to send a tell to someone not in your party.

    If you think this is for any reason other than some hilarious mechanics side effect you're crazy.
