that sucks then guess i wont be renewing my account meh. While sony has the game available on one of it's platforms, it doesn't mean they are Square Enix.
This basically means your subscription is handeled through SE, not Sony. All you've got to do, as mentioned before in this thread, is log into your account on the mog-station and use a FFXIV:ARR game time card or subscribe for a monthly fee wich will be charged from your bank account/credit card/etc.
Edit: One of our guild members and a lot of other players recently had trouble with the subscription though, I don't know many details but will provide if I get more. The aftermath was that the member of our FC had to buy Crysta. I'd sugguest you grab a game time card if you want to be 100% sure

So because you didn't research how payment works, you're just gonna quit? Not trying to be mean, but you're gonna let your screw up, well screw up the game for you?
You don't need a credit card or time card either. You can use your bank(debit) card, or you can get one of the prepaid card that companies like American express have(the cards that you can transfer money to, and use it instead of your bank card, or cash) to pay for your sub.
i paid it off its just frustrating finding out after i used the psn card that the only way to pay is threw a credit card or a debit card.So because you didn't research how payment works, you're just gonna quit? In Europe or Japan there are ARR time cards. In North America a Universal Game Card can be used to buy Crysta which in turn can be used to pay for the subscription (it just adds an extra step to the process). So either way there are ways for someone without a credit/debit card to buy game time.
The credit card is simply a convienient way for a lot of people who have one and want an automatically renewing subscription.

Again, not trying to be mean, or a dick, but the information on all this has existed since beta. So it's honestly your fault for not properly researching things.
But look on the bright side, you have cash on PSN you can put towards other games, like the Last of Us(or if you have that, the coming DLC for it).
